About
Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center, TX in 2020, “Walk Through The Grotto” from the arid savanna through a limestone crevice down a 100 foot staircase into a sheltered canyon of lush plant life.
A place where time seems to stand still. But if you look closely, time runs very slowly, in its own rhythm and harmony. Plants grow as convenient for them, and you can see what the World would be like, where man did not touch nature.
Technique
The painting is painted on a black background in a decorative style. The white canvas was previously coated with black primer. Voluminous strokes were applied to the oil paint for the grass in a few bold layers with a palette knife.
The finished Painting isn't varnished.
