We draw in oil or acrylic paints. I provide detailed recommendations and links about the materials you need. These classes are for those who already have a set of paints and their own tools. The duration of the art session is 2 (two) hours. To attend drawing classes, you do not need special skills. You can draw what you want after discussing the plot in order to get the best advice about technique, expectations, and possibilities. It can be a plot from the imagination, from your photo, or an idea based on the motives and means of inspiration of existing paintings. I use presentations with images as a means of example, as well as short lectures. Each session is a combination of theoretical and practical parts. You take your Artwork home, or you can donate it to the studio Fund :)

A few days before the masterclass, we will personally discuss with you the availability of materials and tools that you have or do not have so that you can prepare for the masterclass in the best possible way and feel confident and comfortable.
With your own tools and materials, you can practice additionally at home, and once you have confidence in the process, you can draw on your own at home with your best materials.

You will learn

Implement your own idea or your plot in a sketch.

Transfer a sketch or photo to a canvas.

What are oil paints, what ways to use them, what do they consist of, and what types they are.

If for some reason you missed one session, then by agreement it may be possible to use it on another day of the week (month) within 2 months from the date of purchase.

After 2 months unused masterclasses are canceled if there is no other agreement.
Important

If circumstances allow you to come to class 5 minutes earlier, then do it! :) You will have enough time to prepare yourself and tune in to the Session :)

Before the Session, I will ask you to put on an apron to protect your clothes. But still please draw in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, or maybe you have some clothes you don't like :) The paint does not wash out of clothes, unfortunately.

Do your hair or take your hair clip with you so that your hair wouldn't distract you, and you wouldn't touch it with your hands in the process of drawing. But the good news is that the paint is washed off the body and hair.

Kateryna Metelytsia
Kateryna Metelytsia is a Ukrainian artist who resides in Leander, Texas, USA. She works on her projects in her studio. In response to high demand, as a practicing artist, she opened her art studio in 2019, welcoming both children and adults to practice and learn drawing.
With three art degrees and a background encompassing graphic design, art direction, computer game artistry, and art instruction, she brings a wealth of experience to her artistic endeavors.
Currently, she engages in painting, explores diverse techniques and materials, finds joy in her students' achievements, pursues studies in the field of art therapy, and plans to illustrate and publish a series of books featuring her artwork.
